LATE NIGHT
I can’t get
to sleep tonight.
Awake; I ponder
late night life.
Outside, nature
is peace and still,
A serenity,
and yet a thrill.
The fireflies
put on a display
for me.
In amongst,
the forest of trees.
They light at will;
and it seems,
They are doing it
to show me.
Above stars twinkle
in the dark mist sky,
And there
in the leaves;
are fireflies.
Never ending
glimmers of Light
From heaven to earth
and in my life.
